Born in 1947 in Olsztyn. Diploma in 1972 in the studio of prof. Henryk Tomaszewski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Currently, he is a professor at the same Academy, and also the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Poster Biennale in Warsaw. Specializes in publishing and advertising graphics, as well as illustrations. He lectures and workshops at many universities around the world.
Professor Lech Majewski works with graphic and advertising design, but he is mostly associated with the form of poster. He says that “even if the poster does not change the world, it is a great record of the place, time and event.” His posters are exhibited all over the world. 

Urodzony w 1947 r. w Olsztynie. Ukończył Wydział Grafiki Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Warszawie. Dyplom w 1972 r. w pracowni prof. Henryka Tomaszewskiego. Obecnie jest profesorem tej samej Akademii, a także Przewodniczącym Komitetu Organizacyjnego Międzynarodowego Biennale Plakatu w Warszawie. Specjalizuje się w grafice wydawniczej i reklamowej, a także ilustracji. Prowadzi wykłady i warsztaty na wielu uniwersytetach na całym świecie.
Profesor Lech Majewski zajmuje się projektowaniem graficznym i reklamowym, ale najbardziej związany jest z formą plakatu.  Mówi, że „nawet jeśli plakat nie zmienia świata to jest doskonałym zapisem miejsca, czasu i wydarzenia”. Jego plakaty są eksponowane na całym świecie.
